Student Aids and Tips:
Tip No 1: (No surprises here…) Practice Practice Practice. It is said that 10,000 hours practice is what it takes to be a master at your craft. So 1 hour practice per day… 5 days a week, for 50 weeks of the year would take…. 40 years.
We might not all want to be a master, but you can see that constant practice is the key to being not only a useful player in a band or orchestra but also in being at a level that you can really enjoy what you do. Remember Rome was definitely built in a day. When you first start out, short but frequent practice sessions gain good progress.
